Recently, stations on Etihad Rail, the first national passenger railway of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), began trial operations. CSCEC took part in the design of the stations.
Etihad Rail runs 1,200 kilometers, connecting all seven emirates of the UAE and 11 cities and regions, with 11 passenger stations along the entire line.
CSCEC led the design development of three of the line's largest and most central hub stations: Mohammed Bin Zayed City Station (MBZ Station) in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Station, and Fujairah Station. Together, they have a combined floor area of about 30,000 square meters.

It is the UAE's first national passenger rail trunk line. The inaugural train reached a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour, completing the journey from Fujairah to MBZ Station in Abu Dhabi in just one hour and 45 minutes — nearly one-third faster than traveling by road.
The stations are designed to efficiently accommodate fully loaded trains carrying up to 400 passengers. On board, high-speed Wi-Fi, charging outlets at every seat and dedicated catering services further enhance the travel experience.
