China's new "smart construction" products, represented by CSCEC's modular construction products, have recently gained popularity overseas and continued to win over international clients.
Modular construction refers to a process in which a building is divided into individual modules, manufactured in factories, and then transported to the construction site for assembly — a more integrated form of prefabricated construction.

"We have delivered nearly 20,000 such modules since the year before last, and the past two years have seen explosive growth, with the technology maturing steadily," a CSCEC representative said.

Outside a smart factory producing CSCEC's steel-structure modular products, room modules weighing more than 10 tonnes each are ready for shipment.

More than 90 percent of the work involved in modular construction, including the main structure and interior fit-out, is completed in the factory, significantly shortening on-site construction time and cutting development costs. In Papua New Guinea, 84 "giant parcels" shipped from the factory have since been assembled into a fully functional hotel. The successful delivery of the project's first phase gave the owner confidence, and orders for subsequent phases soon followed.

"For the MRDC Modular Hotel Project in Papua New Guinea, we shipped more than 80 modules for the first phase, more than 100 for the second phase, and more than 90 for the third phase. The client is now in talks with us on a fifth phase, and orders keep coming in," the representative said.
