Recently, CSCEC volunteers carry out the third Light Up the Mountains event in Malaysia.

Since 2023, CSCEC has partnered with Malaysian NGOs and local enterprises to bring off-grid solar lighting to highland villages. 

Many indigenous villages are scattered across forested mountains beyond the reach of conventional power infrastructure, making solar-powered lighting the most practical solution.

This latest event focuses on Kg Air Laba village, Perak, where volunteers install solar streetlights to provide safe and reliable nighttime illumination.

As the final lamp lit up, children gathered beneath the glow—symbolizing not just illumination, but hope for a brighter future.
