On major CSCEC projects like the Alamein Downtown Towers and Egypt's CBD project in New Administrative Capital, something proves stronger than steel and concrete and more enduring than glass curtain walls: the genuine friendship built day by day between Chinese and Egyptian builders.
From the Alamein Downtown Towers to the CBD project in New Administrative Capital, each site tells its own story.
Cheng Zhenwen, project manager for the T01 external works in Alamein Downtown Towers, arrived with limited English. With support from his Egyptian colleagues, he gradually mastered daily Arabic and gained deeper insight into local society and culture. During holidays, he organized cross-cultural activities that strengthened collaboration, advancing both project progress and personal growth.

At the CBD project in New Administrative Capital, Tang Lei, commercial lead for Packages P3 and P11, and Zhang Junbo, commercial manager for public-area interiors on PK08 and PK11, took up assignments in Egypt. Both faced initial challenges with language and environment. Through the support of colleagues, they adapted quickly, achieved smooth communication, and formed lasting friendships. Working side by side with international partners, they overcame construction challenges, strengthened professional skills, and deepened cultural understanding—broadening their global perspectives and gaining valuable experience in mutual learning among civilizations and personal development.
