The new Huanggang Port Joint Inspection Building, undertaken by CSCEC, is located in Futian District, Shenzhen. Covering a site area of approximately 87,500 square meters and a total floor area of about 689,800 square meters, the project earned a first-class award in an intelligent construction competition organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China (MoHURD - China), thanks to its independently developed intelligent construction technologies.

Powered by eight independently developed welding robots and two laser removal robots, CSCEC efficiently completed the welding of 2,000 tons of steel components for the project.

Among them, the flexible welding robots—specially designed for complex steel structures—allow one operator to control up to three machines simultaneously. These robots deliver welding speeds three times faster than manual labor, with deviations tightly controlled within 1 millimeter and an almost 100% pass rate in flaw detection. Each robot weighs less than 10 kilograms and consumes 20% less energy.

CSCEC's laser rust removal robots effectively address long-standing challenges such as rust stains, the inefficiency of traditional angle grinders, and excessive dust. The high-powered laser rust removal robot is equipped with an advanced system that utilizes a highly penetrative 1080-nanometer wavelength laser. It offers adjustable beam widths ranging from 50 to 450 millimeters, allowing for precise customization based on varying rust layer thicknesses. This solution meets all on-site rust removal needs—dust-free and pollution-free throughout the process.

The portable laser rust removal robot weighs just 8 kilograms in total, with the handheld nozzle weighing only 0.7 kilograms. Its compact, lightweight design makes it ideal for operations in elevated or confined spaces.

Moreover, powered by SLAM and AI algorithms, the project integrates mobile smart poles, AR Eagle Eye systems, drones, and 360-degree panoramic inspections to establish a multi-dimensional command system covering the whole construction site. This system provides real-time insights into construction progress and enables remote inspection and coordination.

The mobile smart poles combine solar power, network connectivity, broadcasting, charging, and lighting in a single unit. Free from reliance on the power grid, they can be rapidly deployed in remote areas, increasing network coverage from 25% to 70% and reducing overall operational costs by 50%—ensuring uninterrupted site management.

The AR Eagle Eye system stitches images from six full-color lenses to monitor an expansive 4-kilometer construction area. Workers'helmet numbers are clearly visible, and site activities can be monitored at a glance from a single screen.
