Recently, United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Executive Director Anacláudia Marinheiro Centeno Rossbach and her delegation visited the CSCEC Science and Technology Exhibition.
UN-Habitat, as the UN agency focused on sustainable urban development and housing, promotes goals of "adequate housing for all" and "sustainable development in human settlements amid urbanization."
The delegation watched a CSCEC's company video and explored the "Building a Harmonious City" exhibit, viewing highlights of the Chengdu's greenway plan. They stopped to watch a video on the ecological restoration of the Pilot Project of the Ecological Protection and Restoration in Wuliangsuhai Lake (Ulansuhai Nur) and were introduced to CSCEC's soil remediation technologies, city lifeline management platform, and the advanced robotic systems for urban drainage networks.
In the "Expanding a Happy Living Environment" section, Sharif inquired about the process of converting subway tunneling spoil into eco-friendly bricks and paving tiles. In the model of the "Good House," she experienced design features from a resident's perspective, including smart home systems, sound insulation, thermal insulation, and air quality monitoring for a healthier living environment.
The delegation expressed high appreciation for CSCEC's commitment to building good houses and making cities more livable, resilient, and intelligent through its explorative practices and innovations.
