Recently, the Teesta Bridge project in Bangladesh reached a milestone as the final precast concrete (PC) beam was successfully poured, paving the way for the project's opening to traffic.
It is understood that a total of 155 PC beams were used for the bridge, with each beam measuring 46.5 meters in length, 2.5 meters in height, and weighing approximately 160 tons. PC beam construction is a critical aspect of bridge construction. The project team conducted forward planning, considered the site's terrain, and strategically planned the beam yard locations. During the construction process, the project team dynamically optimized resource allocation, strictly controlled technical procedures and operated norms at each stage, and strengthened supervision of key processes to ensure construction safety.
