Recently, CSCEC and Beijing Municipal Affairs Institute won the EPC contract for the Xiongan New Area to Beijing Daxing International Airport Express Project (Section 5) (Xiongan R1 Project). The contract value is about 3.167 billion yuan.

This project starts from Xiongan Station in the south, passes through Bazhou and Yongqing to the north, and then connects with Beijing Daxing International Airport. The total length is about 86.21km, including the overhead railway, U-slot and transition section, and underground section, with 8 stations and a vehicle base. The bid section of the CSCEC is located to the northeast of Xiongan Station. The section includes Zangang Station, the vehicle base, the upper cap, and the concurrent implementation part. The planned construction period is 33 months.

This is a airport express between Xiongan and Beijing Daxing International Airport and a regional express to help phase out non capital functions from Beijing. The completion of the line will further improve the transportation system of Xiongan New Area and promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
