Pristine shores, verdant banks, and picturesque bays... This is the enchanting scenery along the eastern coastline of Dongjiang, Tianjin. Through years of meticulous design and scientific construction by engineers from CSCEC, the natural ecosystem of the shoreline has been fully restored, rendering the seawater increasingly clear, the beaches ever cleaner, the coastal vegetation lush, and the bay's landscapes extraordinarily enchanting. The project encompasses a 1.83-kilometer coastline, including the renovation of 112,600 square meters of onshore areas, the restoration of 63,400 square meters of mudflats, and the greening of 35,800 square meters. Through these efforts, the eastern coastal region of Dongjiang emerges with a rejuvenated appearance.

Today marks World Oceans Day. If you were the chief planner of a coastal city, would you also envisage the idyllic coastal life: In the early morning, sunlight pierces through the thin mist, gently caressing your face as you stroll along the meandering paths, breathing in the refreshing sea breeze. Building dikes, managing waters, planting greenery... Based on nature-based solutions, how would you craft an ecological coastal city of your dreams?
