Chengdu Tianfu International Airport: Theairport is a national-level international aviation hub and the highest-level airport in the Silk Road Economic Belt. The configuration of its terminal building is inspired by the sun bird with Chengdu characteristics. The completion of this project has brought Chengdu into the era of dual airports, becoming the third city in mainland China to have two international airports. The airport has a construction area of about 520,000 square meters. The project started in November 2017, and it was officially put into operation in June 2021.
