A cargo vessel carrying 3,300 tonnes of wind power equipment recently departed from Nanjing Port in east China's Jiangsu Province for Pakistan, marking the launch of the first dedicated shipping route for wind power equipment between Nanjing and Pakistan.

Among the cargo were four sets of wind turbine towers manufactured by CSCEC, with a combined weight of more than 1,800 tonnes.

The shipment includes 24 tower sections, each measuring 5.36 meters in diameter. Once assembled, each wind turbine tower will stand about 130 meters tall and weigh around 450 tonnes.

The towers will be used in several wind power projects across Pakistan, helping provide clean electricity for local industrial users and supporting the country's energy transition and green development efforts.
