The hospital covers an area of 21,700 square meters and has a total floor area of about 167,660 square meters. It is the largest single-contract construction project in Hong Kong's history. As the first public children's hospital in Hong Kong, it includes two 11-storey independent buildings, a central courtyard and related facilities, providing a total of 468 beds. Hong Kong Children's Hospital is the first children's specialist treatment centre in Hong Kong, the most advanced children's specialist hospital in Asia, and the first hospital project to receive Platinum BEAM Plus Certification. The project has won dozens of awards at home and abroad, including the Quality Building Award in 2020.
