The main gymnasium and swimming pool of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center are located in the northwest corner of the center, with a total construction area of 390,000 square meters and a maximum building height of 45 meters. The gymnasium has 18,000 seats, and the swimming pool has 6,000 seats. The two venues have a unique three-dimensional streamline shape, forming a Hangzhou themed characteristic culture with the image of turning into a butterfly in the Chinese legend Liang Zhu. As the main venue for the 2022 Asian Games, the project will form a new urban center on the south side of the Qiantang River, which will focus on sports and exhibitions, and integrate commerce, tourism, leisure and culture.
