The Spring Festival is the most significant traditional holiday in China, symbolizing reunion and happiness. This year marks the first year that the Spring Festival has been added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Let’s celebrate the festival with all CSCECers around the world and usher in the Lunar New Year with joy!
Creating a festive atmosphere with Spring Festival ornaments
The character "福" (Fu) is displayed high, and red tassels flutter in the air, spreading joy. Friends from Malaysia, Bangladesh, the UAE, Pakistan, and other countries hang "Fu" characters, paste Spring Festival couplets, display Chinese knots, and place kumquats to decorate their homes with Chinese-style ornaments. They joyfully welcome the arrival of the Lunar New Year.
Immersing in the colourful traditions
The aroma of dumplings fills the air, and paper cuttings on windows reflect the festive spirit. CSCECers from Kazakhstan, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, and other countries sit together, making dumplings, cutting window paper decorations, writing beautiful New Year wishes with ink, and sipping new tea, all while experiencing the warmth and charm of traditional New Year customs.
Celebrating the Chinese festival with global CSCECers
The auspicious snake welcomes the spring, bringing good fortune everywhere. CSCEC employees from Congo (Brazzaville), Israel, Vietnam, and other places, who have nurtured their dreams with sweat and achieved great accomplishments with hard work, gather together to warmly exchange New Year's wishes. They celebrate their achievements and look forward to a bright future.
