Recently, the Xi'an Metro Line 8, China's first fully automated loop line to open all at once, with an unparalleled level of automation for driverless smart metro systems, officially commenced operations. This marks a significant milestone in Xi'an's urban transportation development, propelling the ancient city into the "ring line era" of rail transit.
Located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, the project covers an area of approximately 49.7 hectares and includes 19 individual buildings. Once completed, the line will connect various residential and commercial areas, promoting land-intensive development in the city, enhancing the comprehensive development returns, and helping Xi'an establish a one-hour rapid transportation circle.
