The first phase of Qingdao Metro Line 6, a project co-constructed by CSCEC, has been honored with the Beyond Engineering 2024 award at the 10th edition of the ITA Tunnelling and Underground Space Awards, held recently in Italy.

Qingdao Metro Line 6, which began operations in April 2024, spans 30.8 kilometers and includes 21 underground stations. The line represents China’s largest-scale adoption of prefabricated station technology to date and is Qingdao’s first automated driverless metro line.
