Chongqing's Hongyan Village Jialing River Bridge project, built by CSCEC, has been honored with the China Metal Structure Gold Award—the highest engineering award of the steel structure industry.
The bridge spans 732.8 meters in length with a main span of 375 meters, making it Chongqing's first dual-purpose cable-stayed steel truss bridge for road and rail. Its upper level serves as a 6-lane urban expressway, while the lower level accommodates roads and railways." The towering piers reach an overall height of 202 meters for the high tower and 150.7 meters for the low tower. After its completion, the bridge has emerged as a vital artery connecting the north and south region of the city, seamlessly uniting six major zones within the downtown area.
Throughout the construction process, the project team focused on creating an intelligent and environmentally-friendly construction site, leveraging a variety of technological means such as BIM modeling and big data analysis. During the closure process, real-time monitoring instruments were pre-set to precisely monitor closure data, achieving millimeter-level high-precision closure for the main bridge. Multiple formats including network diagrams and three-dimensional animations were used to vividly depict the progress plan and construction process, optimize quality and control methods, and ultimately enhance construction quality.
