Recently, the CBD project of the New Administrative Capital in Egypt held a press conference to release the CSCEC Egypt Sustainability Report (2021-2022), marking the fourth consecutive year that CSCEC has released the report. Zhou Zhencheng, the minister counselor of the economic and commercial office at the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, attended the conference and delivered a speech, Yousry Elsalamony, the representative of DAR, Ahmed Abdel Razek, Vice President of the New Administrative Capital City and representative of NUCA, and relevant personnel from CSCEC.
Ahmed Abdel Razek, Vice President of the New Administrative Capital City and representative of NUCA, pointed out in his speech that the achievements of the CBD project have been highly recognized by the Egyptian government and have promoted CSCEC's sustainable development in Egypt. He hoped that CSCEC could continue to make persistent efforts in 2023, ensure the high-quality performance of the CBD project, and take China-Egypt cooperation to a new level.
Yousry Elsalamony, the representative of DAR, noted in his speech that the CBD project has always adhered to the concept of sustainable development in its design and construction. The project has taken various measures to conserve energy, make full use of local materials, and make outstanding contributions in waste treatment and other areas, thereby protecting the local environment. The project has also effectively driven local employment and promoted the development of Egypt's construction and related industries.
During the conference, the leaders in attendance jointly released the report. The event also held a briefing on the report. The report highlights the new achievements of CSCEC in promoting China-Egypti exchange and cooperation, fulfilling social responsibilities in Egypt in 2022, and reflecting the profound friendship between Chinese and Egyptian employees.
