Recently, the northern extension of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 5 constructed by CSCEC was opened to traffic and entered its initial operational phase. This marks a significant milestone as the total operating mileage of Chongqing Rail Transit has exceeded 500 kilometers and the total number of operating lines has reached 12, making Chongqing have the world's largest urban rail transit network in mountainous areas.

The northern extension of Line 5 starts from the EXPO Garden Center station and ends at Yuegangbeilu station, covering a total length of 9 kilometers with 7 stations, including the Central Park West station.
