Recently, the PPP waste-to-energy project of a solid waste recycling industrial park in Qianzishan, Wuhan, which is invested, constructed and operated by CSCEC, started trial operation.
After the project’s operation, it will treat more than one-fifth of Wuhan's annual waste, generate about 259 million kWh of electricity each year, meet the electricity consumption of about 200,000 households, and reduce nearly 250,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. It is of great significance to improve the comprehensive waste treatment capacity and the effectiveness of environmental management of Wuhan.
