On October 28, the launching ceremony of CSCEC- built north runway renovation, a part of the Three-runway System (3RS) project of Hong Kong International Airport, was held.

As one of main projects of the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA), the project comprises the middle runway closure, runway renovation, taxiway pavement, land fill and land leveling, as well as tunnel construction. Upon completion, the 3RS project will serve as a main part of the Hong Kong—an international aviation hub and contribute to the economic development of Hong Kong.
