Recently, staff members of LCR and the company’s 2 partners sent school supplies to 3 primary schools built by Chinese enterprises along No. 1 National Highway in the Republic of the Congo.
LCR, the franchise company of No.1 National Highway, was founded by CSCEC, the government of the Republic of the Congo, and a French engineering consultancy. Since its inception in 2019, the company has always focused on people living along the highway. During construction from 2008 to 2016, CSCEC assisted in building 7 primary schools along the highway.
During the local back-to-school season, LCR sent 700 sets of school supplies to local schools. Each set is put into a schoolbag which consists of necessary stationery including textbooks, writing boards, chalks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, a calculator, and a raincoat.
The donation event was warmly welcomed by local students and their parents, with local media outlets including Tele Congo and Digital Radio Télévision covering the event.
