Recently, CSCEC-built China-Singapore Chongqing Multimodal Transportation Demonstration Base (Phase One), a key cooperative project under the China-Singapore Chongqing Connectivity Initiative, started operation.
Through the “1+1” cooperation mode, China and Singapore jointly invest in building the China-Singapore Chongqing Multimodal Transportation Demonstration Base (Phase One), an international trade and logistics center integrating logistics, trade, processing, finance, and information.
After starting operation, the project will integrate capacities of the China-Europe freight trains, the Guoyuan Porton the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, and the Jiangbei International Airport, and its throughput is expected to reach 300,000 tons.
With a total construction area of 90,500 square meters, the project is located in Yuzui Township, Jiangbei District, Chongqing Municipality and consists of the construction of warehouses, management buildings for the container allocation center, commercial buildings, roads around warehouses, as well as drainage and pipeline works.
