Recently, Syrdarya combined-cycle power project near the Syr Darya River in Uzbekistan was successfully capped.

The A section of the BOP construction and road projects are carried out in Shirin City, Sirdaryo Region, Uzbekistan and the 1,500 MW gas power station project areas include AIS Area, Power Block Area, BOP Area, and Water Intake Area. CSCEC is responsible for the construction of centralized control buildings in BOP Area, Water Intake Area, and Power Block Area, which include a water treatment plant, water treatment pools, evaporation pools, material warehouses, water intakes, water intake power rooms, water intake pump rooms, gate houses, office buildings, buildings for society, and centralized control buildings.

As the largest thermal power project signed by Uzbekistan in recent years, the project is an efficient, green, energy-saving, and environmentally protective one and it is world-leading because the gas turbine adopted has the highest combustion temperature, the largest single power and the highest efficiency in the world and a "zero discharge of wastewater" scheme is adopted.
