Recently, Taoer River Bridge, the world's longest box girder bridge of the Binzhou G228 projectundertaken by CSCEC, has seen steady progress. The bridge thus has contributed to the regional economic development in Shandong.
Highway Construction PPP Project of Binzhou G228 Dandong Line, with a total length of 42.5 kilometers, is a two-direction four-lane first-class highway. It is a coastal high-grade highway integrating the functions of border defense and coastal development. After completion, it will provide transportation guarantee for the high-quality development of the regional economy.
Taoer River Bridge has a total length of 4,334 meters and a main span of 338 meters. After completion, it will surpass the current world's longest box girder bridge, the 330-meter-longdouble-track bridge of Shibanpo Yangtze River Bridge, and become the first of its kind in the world.
The project has also established a doctoral research workstation, and cooperated with theChina Highway and Transportation Society to carry out research on the key construction technology of long-span mixed beam continuous rigid-frame bridges, develop advanced equipment,apply new materials, and comprehensively improving the level and quality of the project's scientific and technological achievements, to promote the efficient construction of the project.
As of now, 2,648 tons of steel bars, 33,000 tons of river sand, and 35,000 tons of gravel have been transported to the construction site, which has helped complete the construction task of the main pier pile foundation on the north bank of the Taoer River Bridge 15 days ahead of schedule. At present, 35 main pier pile foundations have been completed, and the steel box girder erection of the bridge across the Bingang Railway has been completed.
