With a total construction area of 23,400 square meters and a total pipe length of 31 kilometers, the project involves one decolorization and disinfection facility, four pumping stations, and one terminal reservoir. The project provides 32,000,000 cubic meters of water every year, and processed renewable water reaching A-level of the first-grade national discharge standard.

As the longest one in the whole project, the CSCEC-built third bidding section covers a length of 21 kilometers and it consists of 15 sections of pipe jacking with the longest 768-meter single-time pipe jacking setting a record in China's northwest region. The total length of pipe jacking is 3,445 meters and that is the longest pipe jacking project in the northwest region.

After completion, the station will significantly cater to urban water needs and prevent and control urban water pollution. For example, the station will provide about 200,000 cubic meters of water to plants and landscapes in four cities' downtown areas including the Tianshan District every day and also provide water to plants and landscapes in four wetland parks, strongly promoting the development of urban ecological civilization.
