Recently, the first set of full scaffolding pertaining to formwork construction of high-rise massive scale superstructure in Zone F29 at main terminal of Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka, constructed by Sixth Bureau of CSCEC , was successfully completed, marking the substantial entry into the superstructure construction.
Zone F29, the interface between Main Terminal Building and Viaduct, is structured with 15m span casting waffle slab in structural height of 10.95m per level, the maximum beam section reaches up to 1700mmx1500mm, that is a massive form works categorized. Aiming at erection feasibility of aforementioned scaffolding, project team has conducted detailed study taking each and every construction step into account, in eventually having finalized appropriate erection methodology which was subsequently elaborated to construction team to implement relevant technical respects inclusive of but not limited to compaction rate of back-filled substrate, erection drawing of scaffolding stated supra, and Health & Safety regulations. The entire process of 1st set of scaffolding was closely supervised and monitored via whole team integrity that played key role to complete target.
In light of further coming periods, all the project staffs will continue to practice corporate culture specified in Codes of Conduct and Protocols of CSCEC and unite together as one to overcome difficulties with undivided effort. On the basis of ensuring construction safety and quality while completing the established construction milestones, as the contractor, the Sixth Bureau of CSCEC will give full play to its professional advantages of overseas housing construction, adhere to quality performance, strive to build a first-class international airport in South Asia, and make more contributions to the Belt and Road Initiative.
