The breakthrough ceremony
The 4-kilometer-long sixth phase of Singapore MRT Circle Line had 3 stations including Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward, and the first two were build by CSCEC. The 3 stations connected the two transfer stations in the south end of the circle line, making it literally a “loop”. As a result, the opening of the tunnel showed the entire breakthrough of the line and also a 55% construction completion of the sixth phase extension line of Singapore MRT Circle Line.

When the extension line is put into operation in 2026, the journey from Telok Blangah to Marina Bay could be shortened by 10 minutes.
