28 CSCEC-built projects win Luban Prize

Recently, the China Construction Industry Association announced the results of 2020-2021 China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National Quality Project). 28 projects built by CSCEC won the Luban Prize. So far, CSCEC has 404 projects winning related awards.

Let’s take a look at some of the featured projects among the award winners.

Taizhou Bay Bridge and Connection Line Project in Zhejiang

The total length of the main line of the first contract section is 32.1 kilometers, including two extra-large bridges, 15 bridges, 32 short and medium span bridges, six tunnels, and three interchanges.

Industrial Incubation of Nankang Home Furnishings PPP Project in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province

The project, a public building integrating furniture industry promotion, tourism, conferences, catering, accommodation, has become a new landmark for displaying the cultural connotation of home furnishings and boosting the upgrading of the home furnishing industry in Nankang District, Ganzhou City.

Urumqi Olympic Sports Center (Gymnasium and underground buildings)

With a total construction area of 76,800 square meters, and being able to accommodate 12,000 spectators, the sports center is a first-class venue that can hold national and individual international competitions and almost all indoor sports. The stadium, with a spoke-type cable-supported grid structure, is currently the largest of its kind in China.

CITIC Tower

Located in the core area of the Central Business District of Beijing, CITIC Tower, with a height of 528 meters and standing tall as Beijing's highest building to date, is a new landmark in Beijing. The tower has 108 floors above ground and eight floors underground (including partial mezzanine), and has integrated the functions of Grade A office building, conference, commerce, office and various supporting services. During the construction, the project has set eight world records and 15 Chinese records.

Xi'an Olympic Sports Center

The Xi'an Olympic Sports Center is main venue for the 2021 National Games of China. With a total construction area of 520,000 square meters, it can accommodate 82,000 spectators, including a stadium with 60,000 seats, a gymnasium with 18,000 seats, and a swimming and diving hall with 4,000 seats.

Jinjiang Second Sports Center

With a total construction area of about 192,800 square meters, the sports center will be the main stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2020 World Middle School Games in 2022. CSCEC is responsible for the building of the gymnasiums, swimming pools, training halls, platforms and commercial facilities. The sports center has the largest indoor gymnasium in Fujian Province, and is an international competition platform with the highest standards, the highest level of professionalism, and the most active operation on the west side of the Taiwan Straits.

Zibo Cultural Center

The project, composed of the Zibo Grand Theater, the Art Trade Center, the Zibo Ceramics and Colored Glass Museum, and the Book Archives Planning Exhibition Center, has a total construction area of 128,000 square meters. It is the largest urban public cultural building in Zibo City, Shandong Province.
