On 27th October 2021, the Seminar on “State-owned Enterprises’ Contribution to the Belt and Road Initiative” was held in Beijing through a hybrid meeting discussing how Chinese State-owned Enterprises could make more contributions to the “the Belt and Road Initiative” in the post-pandemic era. The seminar was under the guidance of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) and sponsored by China Radio International (CRI). Director of CAC Publicity Bureau, Deputy Director of SASAC Publicity Bureau, Director of CRI, specialists and scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS)and Renmin University of China (RUC), representatives from Chinese state-owned enterprises and several journalists attended the seminar. Mr. Yuan Bin, Director of Executive General Office of CSCEC ME remotely participated in the meeting at the site of Al Shindagha Corridor Project.

Based on the short video “Chinese ‘Iron Lady’ Fulfills Her Dreams on the Silk Road” created by CSCEC in partnership with CRI, Mr. Yuan Bin discussed topics including overseas frontline engineers’ work and life status in the post-pandemic era, project progress and achievements through implementing the Belt and Road Initiative, risk and challenges facing overseas state-owned enterprises in the post-pandemic era and approaches to steady growth. CSCEC ME’s presentation with vivid examples won praise from CAC, SASAC, and other state-owned enterprise representatives.
