Constructed by CSCEC, the China-aided project of Morodok Techo National Stadium in Cambodia successfully passed the completion inspection. With a total construction area of about 80,000 square meters, the 60,000-seat massive stadium will serve as the main venue for the 2023 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
In the shape of a sailing ship, the stadium has two 99-meter-tall prows at both ends. The design also integrates the element of ancient roof ridge and depicts the gesture of "Sampeach" (placing both palms together at the mouth level in a greeting or a way to show respect), showing the combination of Chinese technology and the culture of Cambodia.
