CSCEC helps build the global silk capital

On March 28, a kick-off meeting was held for the Yashilin Changsha (International) Sericulture and Silk Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Project undertaken by CSCEC.

The project has a total investment of 7 billion yuan and a construction area of about 900,000 square meters, which includes a screening center of silkworm breeding, intelligent silkworm rearing, silk reeling, spinning, weaving, printing and dyeing, clothing, health food, biomedicine and the like, involving silk museum, silk culture street, mulberry botanical garden, etc. It also integrates intelligent manufacturing, science and education, and industrial tourism, and fully integrates primary, secondary and tertiary industries.

After the project is put into operation, it is estimated that the annual output value will reach 30 billion yuan, and 650,000 mu of mulberry fields will be planted, creating a global silk capital and rural revitalization demonstration zone. The first phase of the project covers about 230,000 square meters of factory buildings and 50,000 square meters of related supporting facilities.
