Li Jiming, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, pointed out that thanks to the joint efforts of the two sides, BCFEC passed the acceptance check and was handed over to the government of Bangladesh. The great multifunctional exhibition center will undertake more activities and provide a platform for the cooperation between the two countries' enterprises to promote economic cooperation and trade between China and Bangladesh.

Tipu Munshi, Bangladesh's Minister of Commerce, thanked CSCES for its successful completion of this project. He said that this project has solved the problem that there is no large exhibition center in Bangladesh. BCFEC not only represents the results of sound bilateral trade ties between China and Bangladesh, but also witnesses the two countries' cooperation and friendship.

Located in Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital, the project includes a exhibition hall, a parking garage, a machine room, two security rooms, an ceremonial square, outdoor parking lots and other facilities. The center covers a land area of 80,000 square meters and a total building area of 33,000 square meters. The main body of the exhibition center boasts a red ceramic panel and an aluminum gray roof which symbolizes the ship of friendship and trade between China and Bangladesh. After BCFEC is put into use, it will help relieve the pressure of holding large-scale international conferences in Bangladesh, especially in Dhaka, and deliver more opportunities for local development.
