Two projects of China Construction (South Pacific) won three awards at the 2020 Land Transport Authority Annual Safety, Health and Environmental Award Convention (ASAC).

The Keppel Station and Tunnels Project of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (Singapore Branch) received the 2020 Construction Safety Excellence Award. The North East Line Extension C715 Project won the Accident-Free Recognition Award and the Workplace Health Award. As the top award presented by the ASAC, the annual Construction Safety Excellence Award represents the highest honor in the field of infrastructure construction in Singapore.

The Land Transport Authority ASAC was inaugurated in 1999 to select and recognize contractors, transportation operators, and partners in Singapore who are proactive and outstanding in promoting civilized construction at their worksites, and ensuring workers’ safety, health, and welfare.

The Land Transport Authority introduced a new award category, the Workplace Health Award, this year to recognize contractors who demonstrate excellence in ensuring workers’ health at their workplace. The North East Line Extension C715 Project placed great emphasis on workers’ health and safety, and was committed to improving the environment of the construction site, enhancing workers’ living experience, and promoting their health through regular training. The North East Line Extension C715 Project was recognized for effectively implementing health programs and became the first to win this award.
