
Recently, CSCEC's Terminal 3 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, showcasing intelligent construction practices based on openBIM, won the Construction for Buildings award at the 2025 buildingSMART openBIM (bSI) Awards.


The bSI Awards, organized by the globally recognized BIM authority buildingSMART, is a major event in the field of BIM. This year, the competition attracted 129 projects from around the world, with 22 top projects making it to the final round across 9 award categories. The winning projects were selected by an international panel of judges, with only one winner per category.

The Terminal 3 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport covers a total area of approximately 680,000 square meters. Upon completion, the terminal will increase the airport’s annual passenger handling capacity to 120 million and freight and mail capacity to 3.8 million tons.
