Recently, the rehabilitation works on four Senegalese stadiums, undertaken by CSCEC, successfully passed final inspection.
The project involves the renovation and upgrade of four stadiums: Leopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar, Aline Sitoe Diatta in Ziguinchor, Lamine Gueye in Kaolack and Ely Manel Fall in Diourbel. Among them, Leopold Sedar Senghor is currently the largest multi-functional stadium in Senegal and it will serve as the main venue for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games. The other three stadiums will become key regional facilities for community sports and recreation.
The project team leveraged Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to ensure precise alignment during the installation of steel canopies. Additionally, the team developed innovative solutions to address the unique challenges in the West Africa, including salt fog resistance and termite prevention.
