Recently, the world’s first European Pressurized Reactor (EPR) works, Unit 1 of Taishan Nuclear Power Plant which China State Construction participated in the construction, has been successfully connected to the grid for power generation and it is the world’s first third-generation EPR nuclear power unit that has been successfully connected to the grid for power generation.

The third-generation EPR nuclear power generation technology has been adopted in the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant Project and two pressurized water reactor nuclear power units with each unit having an installed capacity of 1,750,000 kilowatts have been provided. This project is not only the largest Sino-French cooperation project in the energy field, but also the nuclear power plant project with the currently largest unit capacity in the world.
