CSCEC recently hosted the 2026 Thailand-China Sustainable Construction Dialogue in Bangkok.

Themed "Digital Innovation for Future Construction," the event brought together guests and young representatives from companies and universities, including China Unicom Operations (Thailand) Limited, Peaceland Foundation, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi.

Participants discussed topics such as how AI can help drive innovation in the construction industry, environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices and talent development.

At a youth dialogue session, CSCEC employee Pornuma Tiwchaiyaphum drew on her recent trip to China to attend the Thematic Forum on Artificial Intelligence and Youth Empowerment, sharing her views on innovation and exchanges between young people in Thailand and China.

Piwara Chaladthoy, a Thai employee working on the China-Thailand high-speed railway project, discussed lessons learned from technical exchanges and joint project delivery between Chinese and Thai teams.

Liu Xinjie, a graduate student in construction management at AIT, shared insights into the application of ESG principles in Asia's construction industry, using major Chinese and Thai construction companies as examples, and reflected on sustainable development.

CSCEC also provided an update on its Up We Build program, a sustainable development initiative, in Thailand, and the talent it has helped train. The company released a short documentary, "A Master is Born - My Journey of Building," which follows a Thai engineer and his mentor as they work on the China-Thailand high-speed railway project.

The dialogue further strengthened exchanges between China and Thailand in areas including construction, smart building technology and university-industry cooperation. It also encouraged deeper cooperation in innovation, talent development and youth exchanges, helping promote joint innovation and sustainable development in the construction industries of both countries.
