Recently, the finals of the 12th "CSCEC Straits Cup" Cross-Strait University Students' Physical Construction Competition concluded successfully at Jin'an Park in Fuzhou. This year's competition attracted more than 20 universities from both sides of the strait, with 13 teams advancing to the finals.
Under the theme "constructing the future", the competition encouraged young participants to integrate elements of fine traditional Chinese culture into spatial design, interpreting cultural heritage through the language of modern construction.
The event featured eco-friendly materials such as wood and bamboo, resulting in structures that combined aesthetic value with practical function. The competition was not only a test of skills among university teams, but also a seedbed for lasting friendships among young people.
This year's venue, Fuzhou's Jin'an Park—winner of the China Habitat Environment Example Prize—was chosen to inspire participants to respond to urban needs with innovative designs, engage in dialogue with nature, resonate with the city, and help shape an open and inclusive urban future.
