Recently, CSCEC unveiled the list of its first batch of industrialized products, which includes 11 major products, such as the "building good house", and launched a special column to introduce the eighth theme - Smart multi-storey parking garage: Smart solution to urban parking difficulties.

The smart multi-storey parking garage developed by CSCEC has provided "a parking space for every vehicle", effectively alleviating traffic congestion and improving the living environment in urban areas.

Designed with cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, the Internet of Things, and big data analytics, the system aims to improve the parking experience.

To date, the technology has been rolled out at 77 sites—including a major project in the central area of Nanshan District, Shenzhen—providing over 12,000 parking spaces.

The technology has several advantages. The smart garage requires minimal land, stacking vehicles vertically across as many as 25 levels. Thanks to high-performance drive systems, the average retrieval time is just 90 seconds for passenger cars and 113 seconds for buses. An AI-powered scheduling system optimizes space allocation, while a mobile platform allows users to reserve a spot or retrieve their vehicle with a few taps on a smart phone—reducing wait times and improving overall efficiency.

Supporting this innovation is CSCEC’s proprietary SECM (Shaft Excavation Cutting Machine), which allows for fully mechanized, automated construction of deep vertical shafts. Capable of digging diameters of 11 to 15 meters at a rate of up to five meters per day, and reaching depths of 100 meters, the SECM significantly reduces the cost of building silo-style garages.

The system employs a waterless, controllable sinking technique, and its lightweight, modular design addresses many of the challenges that have long plagued traditional shaft construction—such as high labour risk, environmental disruption, and poor economic viability. CSCEC has secured over 50 intellectual property rights related to the SECM, and its applications extend well beyond parking, including urban infrastructure, water management, underground tourism, and warehousing.
