Recently, the Rikoti Tunnel of the E60 Highway in Georgia, constructed by CSCEC, was successfully opened, marking a significant milestone for the project.

The opening of the Rikoti Tunnel is expected to greatly reduce travel time between Tbilisi and the western ports of Georgia, enhancing the efficiency of passenger and cargo transportation along the route.

During the construction of the Rikoti Tunnel, the project team employed innovative digital monitoring and measurement techniques to assess the stability of the surrounding rock in real-time. They also utilized a block-by-block excavation method and an advanced monitoring and support system to ensure the smooth progress of the tunnel construction.
