CSCEC recently completed the deck slab construction of the TEESTA Bridge project in Bangladesh, with the successful pouring of concrete on the A1-P2 slab. This marks a significant milestone in the project, laying a solid foundation for the bridge's full opening to traffic.

The project team employed Building Information Modeling (BIM) for design and safety calculations, creating a simple yet effective device for dismantling and inspecting the bridge's bottom formwork. This innovation addressed the challenge of removing formwork during the rainy season, ensuring the project stayed on schedule. The device has since been patented, offering valuable insights for similar bridge projects.

The TEESTA Bridge spans 1,490 meters, with a structure comprising 48-meter-long, 31-span precast prestressed concrete beams. Once operational, the bridge will reduce travel time between the two banks by at least three hours, significantly improving regional transportation and boosting economic development.
