Recently, the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) announced the results of the 2023 IFLA Asia-Pac La & Luminary Awards. CSCEC's urban countryside project in Longgang Gankeng, Shenzhen, was awarded the IFLA Asia La Awards.
Situated in Gankeng, Longgang District, Shenzhen, the project is envisioned as a vital project for the central ecological corridor, a cultural tourism and leisure destination, a core area of the world-class carrier for electronic information industry cluster in Bantian, and a demonstration project for the digital creative industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Covering a research area of 15 hectares, with a design area of 9 hectares encompassing regions like, Feizi village, and the environmental science institute's artificial wetlands, the project integrates agricultural landscape, ecological leisure, and natural education to create a new artistic rural scene. It presents a comprehensive urban cultural and tourism complex featuring three major themes: Blossoming Flower Valley, Flowing Water Study, and Parent-Child Camp in Laohukeng.
