CSCEC has recently received several prestigious international awards in 2023, including the Platinum Winner and Gold Winner of the MUSE Design Awards, the honorable mentions of Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) for green architecture and cultural architecture, the 2023 Global Future Design Awards, and the 18th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.
2023 MUSE Design Awards and AMP honorable mentions
The MUSE Design Award, established in 2015 and often referred to as the "Oscars of the Design World", aims to propel the development of the global design industry. The AMP, founded in 2016, is one of the most authoritative global architectural awards, setting new benchmarks for the global architecture and design industry.
The cultural building project around Zhou Libo's former residence in Yiyang City, Hunan Province, is the Gold Winner of the MUSE Design Awards and the honorable mentions of the AMP for green architecture and cultural architecture. The project, with its distinctive Chinese courtyard style and Yiyang Mountain features, integrates seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, embodying low-carbon, green, and ecological design principles. It aims to establish a new cultural landmark for Yiyang.
The Yucanyan Rice Museum in Hunan Province is the Platinum Winner of the MUSE Design Awards for conceptual architecture. Integrating the earliest cultivated rice specimens and pottery artifacts found at the Yucanyan archaeological site, CSCEC designed the museum to incorporate "scattered rice seeds" on terraces or skylights, making the building itself part of the exhibition and providing visitors with an immersive experience.
The Chenxi Museum in Hunan Province is Gold winner of the 2023 MUSE Design Awards for conceptual architecture. Located in the Shengli Park, the design responded to the natural topographical changes by reshaping the site, integrating the building into the natural mountain terrain, and creating an urban interactive architecture.
