On December 16, 2023, the 22nd edition of the "Clean Up UAE" environmental protection campaign was held in Al Marmoom Desert Nature Reserve in Dubai, and CSCEC Middle East organized young employees to participate in this event, actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and giving back to the society.

20 employees from CSCEC Middle East joined more than 2,000 volunteers from other companies, organizations, and schools in the UAE to go deep into the desert and practice their environmental responsibility. The volunteers carefully picked up plastic bags, wastepaper, discarded materials and other garbage in the designated area, and worked together to help restore the appearance of nature itself.

Taking this opportunity, CSCEC Middle East established "Witness the Future · Dream Building in the Middle East" Volunteer Brand, encouraging young employees to actively participate in environmental protection, community service, cultural exchanges, and other activities, enhancing the cohesion and comprehensive quality of young employees, and further strengthening the connection between employees and the UAE society, promoting cultural integration, and serving the local residents.

This year is the 5th time CSCEC Middle East has participated in this activity. With more than 20 years of developing in the Gulf region, CSCEC Middle East has always taken "Expanding a Happy Living Environment" as its corporate mission. In the future, CSCEC Middle East will continue to take part in and carry out relevant activities to implement the "UAE Consensus" reached at the COP28 and continue to cooperate with enterprises and local organizations in the UAE to continuously practice the concept of sustainable development, and to help people and nature coexist in harmony.

"Clean Up UAE" is one of the most influential large-scale environmental activities in the UAE, which was initiated by Emirates Environment Group, with the aim of raising awareness of environmental protection and conveying the concept of green development. Clean Up UAE has been held for 22 years until 2023, and this year's Clean Up UAE took place from 5th December till 16th December, with collective cleaning activities in seven emirates across the UAE.
