This is a story of harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife. The Monkeys Creek restaurant, with a history of over a century, is situated in the Chiffa section project of the North-South Highway constructed by CSCEC in Algeria. Local Barbary macaques frequently visit the area for food. CSCEC, committed to sustainable development, has actively undertaken a series of actions to protect the habitat of Barbary macaques. These measures include reducing noise impact on animals and opening wildlife corridors to facilitate migration, allowing Barbary macaques to thrive and reproduce in the area.
