Recently, the longest tunnel of the E60 Highway (F1 section) in Georgia, the Rikoti Tunnel, has been successfully perforated. As a vital artery for east-west transportation in Georgia, the completion of the Rikoti Tunnel marks a significant advancement in project construction.

Situated in the Chumateleti-Khevi section of the E60 Highway, the Rikoti Tunnel is a critical segment of the project. With a total length of 1,760 meters, it stands as the first tunnel on the E60 Highway to surpass 1700 meters in length.

The completion of the tunnel is expected to considerably reduce the spatial distance between the eastern and western urban areas in Georgia, enhance transportation efficiency for both passengers and goods along the route, and contribute to local economic development.
