Recently, CSCEC-built Haikou International Duty-free City in Hainan Province, the world's largest duty-free shop complex, was put into operation and attracted hundreds of international and Chinese well-known brands.
With a total construction area of about 926,000 square meters and 6 plots, Haikou International Duty-free City serves as a world-class resort-style commercial block and integrates duty-free businesses, duty-paying businesses, offices, hotels, talent communities, leisure activities, culture, and tourism. In the City, the duty-free commercial center has a total construction area of 289,000 square meters.
The 4 floors of the duty-free commercial center on the ground are steel structures with a total steel consumption of about 41,000 tons and the area is as large as that of 39 football pitches.
The project team has always adhered to green construction and applied the construction technology of mechanical and electrical pipeline prefabrication, which effectively improve the utilization of materials and reduce environmental pollution caused by processing. In addition, the project team has utilized sunlight in large areas and installed large curtain walls and 5 glass domes, making the common area bright and translucent and effectively reducing electricity consumption.
