Ministerial delegation visits 53-km North-South Highway project

On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, CSCEC Algeria participated in the visit of the 53 km north-south highway, by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Public Works M. Salim Djalal accompanied by a ministerial delegation including Ms. Sarra Zaâfrani Zenzri, Tunisian Minister of Equipment and Habitat, Mr. Mu'azu Sambo, Minister of Public Works and Habitat of Nigeria, Mr. Gado Sabo Moctar, Minister of Equipment of Nigeria, Representatives of the diplomatic corps of Mali and Niger and Mr. Mohamed Ayadi General Secretary of the Trans-Saharan Road Liaisoning Committee visiting Algeria to participate in the 73rd session of the Trans-saharan Road Liation Committee.

The 53-km North-South Highway project, constructed by the CSCEC, is considered a very important part of the Trans-Saharan Highway and constitutes the starting point and the arrival point of the entire North-South highway, which starts from the CHIFFA town in BLIDA wilaya and se finishes in the city of BERROUAGHIA in the wilaya of MEDEA, crossing 2 wilayas and 6 cities, with a total length of 53 km, including 2 tunnels, 45 bridges, 167 coves and 34.1 km of road.
