From June 7 to 9, the "Exciting Hangzhou" Tonglu Equestrian Eventing Invitational Competition 2022 was held in Tonglu Equestrian Centre, a equestrian venue built by CSCEC for the Hangzhou Asian Games. It is the first time for the venue to undertake an official competition and be opened to the public after its completion.
As the competition venue for the Hangzhou Asian Games equestrian eventing including jumping, dressage, and riding across country, Tonglu Equestrian Center will witness 6 gold medals to be won during the Hangzhou Asian Games.
Located in Linchang area of Yaolin Town, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, the center is composed of 11 single buildings including the main venue, the stableman area, the stable area, and a fodder warehouse and contains 3,000 spectator seats and 240 high-standard stables.
The main building is in a shape of the Chinese character "马" with wave-like soft curves and integrates with Fuchun River landscapes. Green sloped roofs help to expand the landscapes and the arc-shaped gentle slopes add a variety of vertical streamlines to all sides of the building, presenting various visual experiences to spectators from different directions.
